NBAA Event Benefitting Corporate Angel Network Gets New Look

All Proceeds Support Life-Saving Flights For Cancer Patients

The 2017 NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE) will once again host a fundraising event to benefit Corporate Angel Network (CAN) and the critical work they do to support cancer patients.

The event will take place on the second day of NBAA-BACE – Wednesday, October, 11, at the Wynn Las Vegas from 6-8 p.m. in the Lafite Ballroom. Shuttle service from Las Vegas Convention Center will be available beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Fund an Angel Cocktail Reception, formerly the NBAA/CAN Soiree, will feature:

  • Live & Silent Auctions
  • Cocktails & Passed Hors D’oeuvres
  • Networking with Industry Leaders & Colleagues

"The senior leadership of NBAA, along with the senior leadership of CAN, are thrilled to be introducing an entirely new event at this year’s fundraising event," said Wilson Leach, Executive Committee Chair for the even. We are convinced this new format is going to be a win-win for everyone. "A win for all the attendees, because they are not committing an entire evening of their time at the event-packed three-day convention. But most importantly, it is a win for CAN’s cherished patients, as we believe this fundraiser will be more successful than ever in raising funds for them. This will allow participants to fully engage in our fundraising effort, and then go on to dinner and other events in the exciting city of Las Vegas."

The new format will still include opportunities for industry networking, premium cocktails and live and silent auctions. Spanky Assiter, of Barret Jackson Fame, will also once again be conducting a live auction comprised of approximately six high-value lots.

The funds from the event will help CAN continue its important work of arranging flights for cancer patients to and from treatment. CAN coordinates more than 225 flights each month and has arranged more than 53,000 patient flights since its founding in 1981.
