iFly 740 Has 7-Inch 1300 Nit Touchscreen
Adventure Pilot has unveiled its new iFly 740 GPS, a premium portable navigation solution for pilots. The iFly 740 GPS aims to provide pilots with unprecedented touchscreen brightness, exhaustive ADS-B compatibility, emergency backup power and substantial performance improvements. Adventure Pilot is focused on and committed to bringing affordable GPS solutions to VFR and IFR pilots. iFlyGPS.com is offering the iFly 740 for an introductory price of $899.

The all new 7-inch, 1300 nit Extreme Sunlight-Readable Touchscreen positions the iFly 740 as the brightest portable GPS on the market at a fraction of competitor pricing. This new model replaces its predecessor, the iFly 720, with a completely re-engineered touchscreen and twice the brightness.
The company says the new device is one of the most logical choices for pilots looking to take full advantage of the ADS-B NextGen benefits on a dedicated portable GPS via a Wi-Fi or Serial connection to a majority of today’s popular ADS-B Receivers and Transceivers. Pilots may further extend ADS-B benefits to the iFly GPS App for iOS and Android devices with one simple subscription model.
A new integrated circuit-protected Li-Po battery provides the iFly 740 with approximately 30-35 minutes of emergency power or simple flight planning and filing on the go. The iFly 740 is the first 7-inch model from Adventure Pilot to offer an internal battery while maintaining a sleek footprint of 7.25" x 4.5" x .82 and a mere 14.5 ounces, only 2.5 ounces more than its predecessor.
Performance increases of more than 30% and double the RAM provide pilots with a simply powerful experience. This additional performance is matched with the company's new EasyView Seamless Charts, a set of higher-resolution charts that deliver sharper and high contrast viewing.
All iFly GPS models, including the iFly GPS App for Apple and Android, offer a pilot-intuitive interface with an extensive features list. Now, the iFly 740 makes ownership of a premium portable GPS available to more pilots than any other dedicated aviation GPS.
The device can also be optionally equipped with iFly Streets.
