Looking for a Job? ANN is Looking to Give You One!

We’re Hiring Editors, Developers, Video Journalists, Oh My!

Yes, despite the last few years being one of the most unpredictable stretches in aviation media we can remember, ANN is still standing… and somehow, still expanding.

The pandemic didn’t exactly make life easy, but we’ve come through it with enough energy to tackle our next round of projects. Fortunately for you, they are already stacking up faster than we can keep up with.

Moving forward, we’ll be ramping up efforts on an expanded “Airborne Unlimited,” launching the third version of the SportPlane Resource Guide in a digital format, rolling out coverage for all the greatest airshows, and diving into new Aero-Reality programming and book projects. We’ve got the plans; now we need the people.

First on the block is editorial staff. We’re looking for associate editors who know aviation and aerospace, have some sort of journalism credentials, and can handle daily story assignments (on a flexible, remote schedule, that is). You’ll need solid writing, photography, and web skills, plus the discipline to hit deadlines without constant hand-holding. Working from anywhere will do, so long as you’ve got fast internet and a system that can handle graphics and editorial tasks.

We also need contributors for the SportPlane Resource Guide, especially writers well-versed in LSA and sport aviation. This is our biggest LSA push yet, and we’ll take all the extra hands we can get.

On the tech side, we’re looking for an experienced ColdFusion/SQL web developer to help us keep new projects from piling up indefinitely. Graphic design skills are a bonus, and yes, multimedia experience matters.

Speaking of multimedia, Aero-TV is also expanding. We need video journalists with strong editing skills (Final Cut, After Effects), experience in studio and field production, and preferably some aviation reporting background. Camera operators with 4K experience get bumped to the top of the list.

These roles are available now, and yes, they actually pay. Send your resume, intro letter, and examples of your work to ANN. If you can deliver, and are looking for flexible, aviation-focused work that keeps you plugged into the industry, we’ll find a way to fit you in.
