ANN Looks At The Year That Was, And The Year That Will Be

Didn't We Just Do This LAST Year?

It's that time again... when the Aero-News staff takes a look back at all that happened in the Aero-World over the past 364 days.

We're talking about everything from the successful return of NASA's Stardust capsule -- which kicked off the most exuberant year the space agency has seen in a decade -- to the final tally in the erstwhile order battle between Boeing and Airbus.

We'll look at what the year brought for Commercial Aviation... and how airlines are gearing up for a massive fight to convince the FAA that user fees against General Aviation (specifically, the Business Aviation community) are the Final Answer for the agency's funding problems.

As is tradition, Aero-News will also pay our respects to those who have 'Gone West' this year.

What did the year bring for Military Aviation? And, perhaps most imporant to the majority of our readership... what happened in the world of General Aviation in the past year, and what do these events portend for 2007?

Aero-News will spend the next several days reviewing the events of 2006. We'll hear thoughts from others -- from "letter group" leaders, to ANN readers -- on what the year meant to their respective segments of the aviation community.

We'll then turn our eyes and ears to what the future may hold for 2007... and invite others to do the same, and tell us their thoughts on the year ahead.

Stay tuned for ANN's extensive look back on 2006... and our best prognostications on 2007. And above all... Happy New Year!
