The pilot of a Curtiss Wright P-40E WWII-Era fighter aircraft who lost his life in a 27 June 2023 accident at Hamilton, Montana’s Ravalli County Airport (HRF) has been identified as Paul Ehlen, founder and owner of Bloomington, Minnesota’s Precision Lens—a manufacturer of therapeutic, surgical, and pharmacological products germane to the field of ophthalmological medicine.

On 28 June 2023, a U.S. Air Force pilot departed Boeing’s St. Louis, Missouri facilities at the controls of a T-7A Red Hawk, thereby occasioning the commencement of USAF flight-testing of the service’s new, supersonic, advanced jet trainer. The event, announced by Boeing, marks the onset of the T-7’s engineering and manufacturing development phase. Adventure Pilot announced the release of version 12.1 of iFly EFB. In addition to the full complement of the product’s legacy features, the update introduces Helicopter Mode and Checklists--addenda designed to meet the unique needs of rotary-wing pilots.
