AD: Airbus SAS Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2019-22-12

PRODUCT: Certain Airbus SAS Model A320-214, -216, -232, and -233 airplanes.

ACTION: Final rule

SUMMARY: This AD was prompted by a report of undetected contacts between certain harnesses of the common fuel quantity indicating system and the center tank structure.

This AD requires modification of the fasteners for certain harness routings, as specified in a European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) AD, which is incorporated by reference.

DATES: This AD is effective December 31, 2019.

COST: The FAA estimates that this AD affects 5 airplanes of U.S. registry. Operators may incur the following costs in order to comply with this AD:

Required Actions:

  • Labor - 5 work-hours × $85 per hour = $425.
  • Parts - $200.
  • Cost per Airplane - $625.
