Your Airspace... NOT: TFRs in SC, NM, Due to Bush Visits

The FAA has published temporary flight restrictions (TFRs) in two states as President Bush prepares to visit South Carolina on Friday before heading to New Mexico for the weekend. Pilots operating in the Columbia, S.C., and Albuquerque, N.M., areas are advised to check notams carefully before departing.

The 10-nm-radius TFR over Columbia, S.C., will be in effect from 1405 local until 1715 local and will impact operations at Columbia Metro (CAE), Columbia Owens Downtown (CUB), and Lexington Co. (7J1). The VOR/GPS approach to Corporate (6J0) will also be impacted.

In Albuquerque, N.M., the 10-nm-radius TFR will be in effect from 1730 to 1900 local on Friday, and again 1020 to 1300 local on Monday, May 12.
