Bloomberg's Helo Lands At NYC U2 Show

Bloomberg Was Not Aboard At The Time

New Jersey State Troopers were not expecting a helicopter belonging to New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to arrive at Giants Stadium before Thursday's U2 concert, and yet, there it was landing in a shuttle bus parking lot.

Though Bloomberg is a pilot, he was not flying the helo when it made what was described as a "practice landing" at the stadium. Pilot Toby Wilson had flown Mayor Bloomberg to New Jersey, who then took a car the rest of the way to the stadium.

The Associated Press reports Wilson was allowed to leave after telling the troopers he would not be back. State Police Sgt. Stephen Jones said ATC at Teterboro tracked the flight to the stadium.
