HondaJet Elite II Gets TC'ed

Certified and Ready For Action...

After Honda Aircraft Company unveiled the HondaJet Elite II at this year's NBAA-BACE exhibition, it was obvious that the little bizjet company from Japan was bound and detemined to not be so little for much longer. The big news last month was their updating the bizjet with extended range, fuel economy, and automation. And now, the big news is that the Elite II is certified and ready for action.

The HondaJet Elite II expanded its range over the previous model, bringing it up to a total of 1,547 nm brought about by new increased fuel capacity, in addition to more space for additional cargo. Gross takeoff weight has been brought up to 11,100 lbs, with a new ground spoiler optimizing takeoff and landing performance even at the new weight limit. The aircraft's avionics suite is similarly improved, using the newest iteration of the G3000 with the expected boosts in graphics and visual performance. A raft of advanced features and next-gen automation allows a greater margin of operator safety and comfort, with autothrottles, stabilized approach assistance, and emergency autoland.

Stylistically the Elite II gains a new "Black Edition" livery, as well as a more neutral "corporate" color scheme. Interior options, materials and colors have been added to the jet as well, with small adjustments made for additional comfort, like an additional 3" of legroom available for the crew seat with an extended track.

“The HondaJet Elite II once again pushes the boundaries of its category on all fronts of performance, comfort, and style,” said Hideto Yamasaki, President & CEO of Honda Aircraft Company. “We are also excited to take our aircraft forward on the journey of automation by bringing new technologies to the market next year.”
