Final Home For Boeing 747 In Las Vegas Entertainment District

Area15 Reimagines Nose Section As Cocktail And Dining Experience

The Boeing 747 that was once featured as a famous large-scale art piece at the Burning Man festival in 2017 has been moved to its final resting place in the newest entertainment district in Las Vegas, AREA15, to become a one-of-a-kind cocktail and dining experience.

The AREA15 district opened in 2020 and is located just minutes away from the Strip’s casinos and restaurants. It is rapidly expanding and will become filled with what it calls boundary-pushing attractions of immersive and experiential art and entertainment with cutting-edge technology, unique retail, bars, eateries, and more.

Winston Fisher, the CEO of AREA15 said, “The iconic journey that this aircraft has taken symbolized the monumental expression of the fusion between art, technology and experiential entertainment that defines AREA15. Once the centerpiece of the world’s most avant-garde festival, this installation will now be permanently integrated into the AREA15 ecosystem, offering an entirely new way to experience nightlife and events in Las Vegas.”

The airplane’s nose section, measuring 150 feet long by about 50 feet wide, will be integrated into a larger event venue that, when completed, will accommodate an estimated 1,300 people. The venue will merge the 747’s fuselage into other art-inspired pieces to form the enclosure for dining and entertainment.

The arrival of the airplane is a significant step in the progress of AREA15’s development into an eventual 20 acres of attractions, art, concerts, dancing, and nightlife.
