Air Methods Orders 10 Eurocopter EC135 Helicopters

Expands Air Medical Service Fleet

Air Methods Corporation announced Tuesday the placement of a major order for ten (10) Eurocopter EC135 twin-engine helicopters as part of the company's long-term fleet expansion and modernization program. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery to Air Methods throughout 2004. The company's Air Medical Services Division is the largest provider of air medical transport services for hospitals and its LifeNet Division is the largest community-based provider of air medical services.

The Eurocopter EC135 features a wide-open design, over-sized sliding doors and rear clamshell doors for loading of patients. The aircraft also incorporates state-of-the-art helicopter technology and panoramic visibility for improved sight line capabilities.

Aaron Todd, Chief Executive Officer of Air Methods Corporation, said, "This purchase is an integral part of our long-term plan to increase and continually upgrade our fleet as we strategically expand our community-based operations, and it provides enhanced solutions for our existing hospital customers. Additionally, the timing of this purchase allows us to take advantage of current favorable financing opportunities. Air Methods is dedicated to meeting the specific needs and requirements of our customers and these new aircraft will provide efficient service for years to come."
