Aviation Application Subscriptions Now Easier To Buy In
Bulk
At the NBAA convention and meeting in Atlanta this past week,
ForeFlight announced the immediate availability of new individual
and group pricing plans for ForeFlight HD, the company’s
flagship app for pilots. The new pricing plans include an option
for adding a backup device and an entire lineup of plans for
customers that need subscriptions for between five and one hundred
concurrent users.
“Individual pilots, flying clubs, flight schools,
corporate flight departments, government agencies, charter
operators, and major airlines are adopting tablet computers, such
as the iPad, at an eye-opening rate. It was clear that in order to
keep up with customer demand, we needed two additional things:
simple pricing for a single pilot or plane carrying two devices,
and simple pricing and management for multi-user ForeFlight
subscriptions,” said Tyson Weihs, Co-Founder of ForeFlight.
“With those needs in mind, we built a system that makes the
process of buying and managing either of these options really,
really easy. For example, customers can start with a five-device
plan, easily upgrade to a ten- or twenty-device plan, and our
system automatically handles pro-rating the unused balances and
expands the customer license instantly - all done over the web with
our new self-service tools.”
ForeFlight also took the wraps off a new employee, announcing
the hiring of Eric Hake as Group Sales and Customer Support
Manager. “Part of the ForeFlight experience is fast,
friendly, fanatical customer service. Eric makes that experience
possible, and we are happy to have him aboard.” said Jason
Miller, ForeFlight Co-Founder. “Eric’s years of
professional flying and instructing as a CFI, CFII, and MEI brings
to our team wisdom and perspective that is key to running
successful customer support operation in the aviation
industry.”
