Aura Aero Reports 130 New Letters of Intent

French Electric Commuter Aircraft Holds Industry Day to Discuss Design & Development

French sustainable aviation company Aura Aero has now signed more than 130 letters of intent with a variety of takers for its all-electric regional transport aircraft.

Aura Aero held an Airline Day to bring together a number of buyers and prospective operators, addressing questions and concerns regarding the development process. A discussion process with visiting airline personnel brought to light a number of issues and recommendations the company says will affect the final outcome of their Electric Regional Aircraft (ERA, as it's currently designated) due to enter service in 2027.

Overall, 9 airlines have signaled their interest in one of 3 variants of the aircraft. The Passenger, cargo, and VIP models have found takers from Afrijet, Elitavia, DUX, Flying Green, FMS, and Twinjet, with additional unspecified airlines anticipating aircraft orders. The ERA will offer operators a point-to-point passenger and cargo transport with drastically reduced CO2 emissions and decarbonization bragging rights, all while offering impressive performance and massively reduced noise emissions.

Jérémy Caussade, co-founder and president of AURA AERO, sees a healthy future for the brand. "We are happy and proud to announce these new orders for ERA, an aircraft that will enable, thanks to modern and digital technology, to transport passengers and freight in total safety, with an extremely low emission rate and an unbeatable business plan. We are convinced, more than ever. of the relevance of this aircraft in the implementation of a decarbonized aviation."
