Technologically Advanced Systems Provide Better Realism And Training

Lufthansa Aviation Training (LAT) says it is going to make the largest investment in its history to modernize all 21 of its full-flight simulators in Europe.

The company will be updating the visuals with cutting edge tech that provide much higher resolution and more realistic scene rendering of surfaces, light reflections, and ground crew movements.

The company is highlighting the aggressive program that began two years ago and is now gaining prominence as it seeks to reinforce its commitment to delivering innovative and reliable training solutions. LAT is upgrading four simulators per year over the course of a five-year program that will replace projectors and image generators as well as optimize cockpit mirror films and other components.

The upgrade project began in Berlin and Zurich, and will progress to key locations in Vienna, Frankfurt, Munich, and Essen. The enhancements will provide improved training quality and ensure the long-term availability of LAT’s sims. Each upgrade takes about two weeks to complete for minimal downtime.
