NBAA Marks 75th Anniversary with Creation of Legacy Society

New Anniversary Body Created To "Inspire Next Generation of Leaders to be a Part of the Business Aviation Community"

“The NBAA Legacy Society is an opportunity for member organizations to elevate their commitment to NBAA and business aviation,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “The society honors the past 75 years of industry achievements and growth, while looking to the future of business aviation.

“It is just one element of a series of initiatives designed not only to recognize the milestones marking the industry’s pioneering spirit, but to inspire the next generation of leaders to be a part of the business aviation community,” he said.

The initiative quickly found supporters from the community, with members like Airbus Corporate Jets, Textron Aviation, Raytheon Technologies, Boeing, ForeFlight, and Boeing Business Jets adding themselves to the list from the get-go. Legacy Society members will be given pole position at NBAA anniversary events, receiving the highest level of recognition at conventions, conferences, and events leading into 2023's NBAA-BACE. The group will allocate a portion of committed finances to NBAA Charities for scholarship opportunities, with Society members given a say in where those funds are directed.

“This anniversary year offers an opportunity for everyone to take part in telling our industry’s story of innovation and achievement so that business aviation is even stronger seven decades from today,” said Bolen. “In that spirit, this special anniversary year membership is a way to recognize the industry’s past and ensure its continued success.”
