Doug Ritter's Seminars May Prove Popular At AOPA Event

Information AND Over $5,000 In Door Prizes Will Be Offered

Doug Ritter, Chairman of the "Equipped To Survive Foundation," plans to give away three 406 MHz ELTs and four 406 MHz PLBs, as well as other valuable survival equipment, worth over $5000 at AOPA Aviation Summit in Tampa, Florida. 

On Thursday, November 5 at 1400, Ritter will be presenting "121.5 Replacement Options: 406 ELTs, PLBs, and More ... Your 121.5 ELT is virtually useless." Ritter will clarify the options, which include 406-MHz ELT upgrades, 406 PLBs, SPOT, and other alternative distress alerting devices. He will review 406 ELT regulatory requirements for Canada, Mexico, Bermuda, and other popular flying destinations. Attendees can win 406 ELTs, PLBs, and other survival equipment door prizes.

Then On Friday, November 12 at 1100, Ritter will be presenting "Ditching and Water Survival." If you fly over water during takeoff, landing, or en route, the seminar will provide the information you need to survive. The presentation will include an inflation demonstration of life rafts and life vests, ditching and egress, water survival, signaling, search and rescue, the open water environment, hypothermia, and the psychological aspects of water survival. Attendees can win PLBs and other valuable survival equipment door prizes.
