BOC Aviation Signs For 15 E190s

Asia’s Leading Lessor Buys First Embraer

Embraer and BOC Aviation, a Singapore-based aircraft leasing company, have signed a contract for the sale of fifteen Embraer 190 aircraft (pictured in Air Canada livery). Deliveries are scheduled from the fourth quarter of 2012 through 2014.

BOC Aviation is Embraer’s newest aircraft leasing company customer. The manufacturer says the E190 is particularly attractive to aircraft leasing companies for its operational versatility and proven adaptability to a wide range of airline business models around the world.

Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva, Embraer President of Commercial Aviation, says, “The expertise, experience, and market penetration of BOC Aviation will provide our mutual airline customers with a wider range of financing opportunities as airlines continue to grow their E-Jet fleets. We are honored to have BOC Aviation as our newest partner in the E-Jet program and we look forward to working together and building this new relationship.”

Robert Martin, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of BOC Aviation, added “we see excellent potential for the E190 not only here in Asia where there is strong growth but also with airlines around the world that have discovered the importance of 100-seat aircraft capacity, both in developing new markets and complementing narrow-body operations with relevant economic gains. The E190 will allow us to expand the range of BOC Aviation products to customers in established and emerging markets.”

BOC Aviation describes itself as  Asia’s leading aircraft leasing company with a fleet of modern aircraft flying with more than 40 airlines worldwide.
