Corporate Angel Network Elects Michael Amalfitano to Board of Directors

Charity Network Gets Some New Blood at the Helm

Embraer Executive Jets CEO and President Michael Amalfitano has been installed to the Corporate Angel Network's Board of Directors.

The Network is a 501c3 that aims to pair cancer patients in need of specialized, rapid transit with corporate aircraft ready for a mission, allowing them to give off their considerable corporate resources and help patients survive just that much longer with more specialized medical care. Amalfitano joins the rest of the Board, with members from across the aviation industry in everything from media to manufacturing, in their efforts to bolster awareness of the Network's mission. Amalfitano is no stranger to business ops, either, as current President and CEO of Embraer Executive Jets. Before that, he held a handful of executive positions with Bank of America and Merrill Lynch, after cutting his teeth in sales at GE Capital.

“Embraer has a long-standing relationship with CAN, contributing many free private flights to the organization over numerous years, and through our consistent involvement, I have gained tremendous respect for the organization and the vital, time-sensitive work of connecting cancer patients to life-saving treatment. Now, I’m honored to join the Board of Directors and lend my expertise to further the nonprofit’s mission,” said Amalfitano.

“With his 40-plus years of executive leadership experience in business aviation and financial services, Michael will be a powerful addition to our Board,” said CAN Chairman Jean Rosanvallon. “We’re especially delighted to welcome Michael to our Board because Embraer has been such a valued supporter of CAN for many years,” he added.
