Gill Redesigns Two Popular Battery Models

Providing Higher Capacity, Power and Improved Handling

Gill Batteries says two of its most popular models just got better.

The company, a subsidiary of Teledyne Technologies, Inc, unveiled redesigned and improved versions of its G-25S and G-35S valve-regulated batteries at its company headquarters in Redlands, California this week.

The improved models, which are designed for many single and twin engine airplane and helicopter applications, are more powerful, providing over 20% increased capacity and up to 20% better power delivery (Ipp and CCA) than the previous Gill designs. Each features a solid case and cover with an integrated, fold-away carry handle and terminal connection options of using a brass bolt or the standard stud/thumb nut configuration which is factory installed (and easily removable) using socket set screws set in an ultra low porosity terminal, providing the best electrical conductivity.

The improved models will be available through all Gill Batteries distributors beginning mid-summer. Aircraft owners may also go to the company's web site and use the "Configurator" to determine which Gill model is correct for their aircraft.

Founded in 1920, Gill, also known as Teledyne Continental Motors Battery Products, produces FAA-approved, sealed-recombinant, lead-acid batteries for turbine and piston-powered aircraft. The company also offers a full line of battery power accessories.
