Moog Supplying Flight Control Systems For G500, G600

Includes Flight Control Computers, Software, Pilot Interfaces, Other Components

Moog Inc. Aircraft Group had been selected by Gulfstream Aerospace as the supplier of the high lift system and the pilot directional control system for the Gulfstream G500 and G600 business jets.

The high lift system includes flight control computers and software, pilot interfaces, flap actuation, power drive, transmission components and accessories. The pilot directional control system includes rudder pedals, sensors and linkages. Moog will also provide the integration and certification support of these systems for both aircraft.

"Moog has supplied high lift actuation products and subsystems to Gulfstream over the last 40 years," said Warren Johnson, President of Moog's Aircraft Group. "We are honored to be supplying flight control systems for these new and exciting aircraft."

The G500 and G600 aircraft will be capable of 5,000 and 6,200 nautical miles respectively and feature a maximum operating speed of Mach 0.925. The first flight for the G500 is scheduled for 2015 with expected customer deliveries commencing in 2018. The first flight for the G600 is scheduled for 2017 with expected customer deliveries commencing in 2019.

The effect of this program on sales and earnings per share is already incorporated in the Company's previously announced financial outlook for fiscal 2015.
