Certified: Sandel SA4550 Primary Attitude Display

Completes Plug-Compatible Retrofit Suite

Sandel Avionics announced Saturday that its advanced SA4550 Primary Attitude Display has been certified by the FAA for Part 23 and Part 25 operations, allowing the new Technical Standard Ordered unit to be installed in corporate jets and turboprops.

The modular, LED-backlit SA4550 offers a technology upgrade for many turbine-powered aircraft with older electromechanical ADI displays, making it appropriate for retrofit installation in Cessna Citation, Falcon, Gulfstream, King Air, Beechjet and others.

Pairing it with the already-certified Sandel SN4500 Primary Navigation Display, the SA4550 provides operators with a complete Primary Flight Display solution.

"This certification confirms that our easy-to-install, easy-to-use replacement displays will let corporate aircraft operators affordably update their old, unreliable ADIs and HSIs," said Sandel CEO Gerry Block.

"The bottom line is that, with our new SA4550 and SN4500 incorporating incredible color and brightness, twice the resolution of many 'glass cockpits,' and an innovative plug-compatible installation architecture, operators can get a superb technology upgrade without having to pay for a full-panel replacement."

Production is underway, and the SA4550 is available for installation by authorized Sandel dealers and installation centers in aircraft on the Approved Model List.

The introductory retail price is $20,500.
