Lufthansa Flight Training Hosting The 2nd International Human Factors Conference

Sessions Will Focus On The Human Factor

From October 20 to 21, 2016, representatives from airlines, aircraft manufacturers, air-traffic control, and international research institutes will come together at the Lufthansa Seeheim conference hotel for the 2nd International Human Factors Conference, where they will hold discussions with experts, network with each other, and discuss their own experiences relating to the conference’s slogan “Enabling People – Enhancing Safety.” The conference is being organized and hosted by Lufthansa Flight Training.

On the first day of the conference, the focus will be on topics such as leadership, resilience, professionalism, assertiveness, risk and error management, “startle and surprise,” dealing with emotions, as well as communication. Six speakers – including Captain Manfred Müller, safety pilot at Lufthansa, Nathalie de Ziegler from BEA France, and Dr. Malte Petersen from the Max Planck Institute – will offer insight into the latest findings from the field of research.

On the second day, conference guests will participate in a variety of workshops led by experts from NASA, Lufthansa CityLine, JetBlue, Swiss Aviation Training, and Brainshop. Together they will take a look at the future of cockpit and cabin training as well as new trends and methods from the world of psychology.
