As ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell trundled around EAA AirVenture 2013, he stopped at the WingX display to see how much more he could cram into his iPad.
Jim admitted to Hilton Goldstein, the founder and CEO of Hilton Software, that he has a hard time keeping up with all that’s new. Goldstein said that things are improving and expanding all the time. He pointed out that operational updates make WingX faster, and they have moved into ADS-B functions. Another new feature is an improved weather display.
Goldstein pointed out that WingX continues to expand the number of external devices that can provide information to their program. He said they work with any company that wants to work with them. Furthermore, WingX is looking to the future in other markets such as the airlines and military. This interview also tackles the issue of how the FAA fits in to the use of apps in aviation. Whether or not you are a WingX user you’ll get some valuable information from this video.
