Airborne 05.23.14: Rolling Record-987!, More CBP Insanity, ANN Oshkosh Yearbook

Also: Boeing's 737Max OrderBook, SyberJet Update, Cessna Latitude TIA, Aerion SSBJ

The Guinness Book of World Records has officially recognized 987 rolls performed consecutively as a new world record. It was achieved by Kingsley Just from Australia who raises money for zinc absorption research to benefit his son, Kaelan.

Specifically, he needed to perform more than 408 consecutive rolls, so he set a new record by a good margin. For several years ANN, long before the more recent coverage by some of the aviation associations, has been alerting the GA industry to CBP's aggressive surveillance and intrusive searches of GA aircraft. Well, here we go again! In a recent incident, a pilot and his date landed in Marathon, in the Florida Keys, after a flight from Opa-Locka. According to his recounting, he was surrounded by federal agents in body armor and carrying assault rifles. Representatives of the FAA’s San Antonio Manufacturing District Office have awarded SyberJet Aircraft (SJA) an articles only Production Certificate (PC). SJA has worked to develop quality assurance, manufacturing, and inspection processes that meet the FAA’s requirements. All this... and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!
