Upgraded! Jet Source Promotes Stuart Scott To Safety Manager

Tasked With Implementing Safety And Security Procedures

Aero-News recently learned that Jet Source, headquartered at the McClellan-Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, CA, has promoted Stuart Scott to Environmental Safety Manager for the company. In his new role, Scott will be responsible for developing, planning, implementing and enforcing the occupational health, safety and security policies and procedures throughout Jet Source’s facility.

A pilot for 20 years, Scott has also worked in the aviation industry for more than 14 years. His experience spans both commercial and private sectors, in departments such as aviation management, safety and security. Scott also holds a number of industry certifications in safety procedures.

"Stuart’s strong knowledge about the critical safety requirements and procedures in aviation, coupled with his years of hands-on experience implementing them, make him an invaluable asset to our company," said Frank Milian, president and COO at Jet Source. "I have no doubt that the innovation, dedication and expertise that he brings to his new role will further enhance our leadership capabilities in the industry."

As Safety Manager for Jet Source, Scott hopes to redefine the current safety program in place by streamlining procedures across all departments in the company. This will include addressing issues associated with hazardous waste disposal and OSHA general worksite safety, as well as implementing a "Safety in the Workplace" training program for all Jet Source employees.

"I am honored to have the opportunity to work with Jet Source to design and implement a safety program that I believe will rival every other safety program in the industry," said Scott. "Jet Source continues to maintain a leading-edge on many levels and I am proud to be a part of the team."

Established in 1997, Jet Source is a nationally-recognized business aviation center and is the only facility in California having the internal capabilities to support the operational needs of corporate aircraft at one location. Headquartered in southern California at the Palomar-McClellan Airport in Carlsbad, Jet Source boasts more than 120,000 square feet of hangar space, a FBO with an Executive Terminal and provides maintenance, avionics, ramp service, fuel sales, aircraft charter, management and aircraft sales/acquisition.
