Appoints Peter Hartman, Edward Krubasik And Gijs Schoonderbeek As Members

AviationGlass & Technology, a Dutch company specialized in the research, development and production of glass products for the aviation industry, today announced that it has created an Advisory Board and has appointed Mr. Peter Hartman, Prof. Edward Krubasik and Mr. Gijs Schoonderbeek as members.

Hartman, currently vice chairman of Air France-KLM and formerly President and CEO of KLM until 2013, is an industry veteran bringing with him more than forty-two years of aviation experience. Mr. Hartman joined KLM in 1973 and during his career there held positions including Executive Vice President, Engineering & Maintenance. Appointed to KLM’s Board of Managing Directors in 1997, he was also a member of the company’s Executive Committee until 2010. Mr. Hartman formerly served as Vice Chairman of the European Commission work group ACARE (advisory council for aeronautics research in Europe), and was previously Chairman of the Association of European Airlines as well as Chairman of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Amsterdam and a Masters in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Prof. Krubasik studied physics at the universities of Erlangen-Nuremberg and Karlsruhe in Germany and obtained a doctorate in nuclear physics from Karlsruhe. Prof. Krubasik began his career at McKinsey & Co where he worked as partner and director for over twenty years. During his time there, he led McKinsey’s global Innovation and Technology Management Practice and its European Electronics, Telecommunications and Aerospace Sector. In 1997, he joined Siemens Central Executive Board holding special responsibility for the company’s Industry and Transport business sector and Corporate Technology Department. During his career, he was also President of Orgalime, the European Engineering Industries Association in Brussels. Prof. Krubasik is currently resident director at INSEAD, Fontainebleau and also serves as a board member of Antenna Company.

Schoonderbeek is a seasoned, no-nonsense entrepreneur. He successfully built the largest technical installation company in the Netherlands (Burgers Ergon) which he subsequently sold to Heijmans in 2007, a leading European construction company, that is publicly traded on the Dutch stock exchange. During the integration period, he served as a member of Heijmans’ executive team where he led procurement in the residential and non-residential building divisions. Mr. Schoonderbeek is an active investor in several companies, focusing mainly on start-ups with new technologies.
