Vietnam Airlines 'Accidentally' Schedules All-Female Flight Crews

Airline Says The Schedule Just Worked Out That Way

Four flights operated by Vietnam Airlines on February 16th were flown by all-female crews ... which the airline says was not scheduled intentionally.

The onlie news site Saigoneer.com relays a report from VnExpress that says the flights ... two round trips from Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) to Quy Nhon and from HCMC to Da Nang, were flown by female pilots Huynh Ly Dong Phuong and Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich. Four female flight attendants were working in the cabin of the A321, according to the report.

Vietnam Airlines has 10 female pilots. According to the report, Phuong is the only one qualified to fly an A321.

The Saigoneer reports that the airline said that they did not intentionally schedule flights with all-female crews.

News and photos of the "accident" made the rounds on the Internet. Apparently it proved to be pretty popular.
