MSFS's Super Patriot to Make In-Person Appearance Alongside Digital Rendition
FlightSimExpo is coming back for 2025, taking place at the Rhode Island Convention Center from June 27 to 29.

It’s nice to see the Flight Simulation Association keep up their tempo in the industry, as one of the few cost-effective, accessible routes to onboard newcomers into aviation. Sim fidelity is worlds apart from where it was in decades past, and each year the Association finds ways to show the computer-avoidant what they’ve been missing. Advances have brought out entirely new dynamics to the home flight deck, thanks to vastly increased compute power, enhanced graphic rendering, and even a whole industry of tactical switchgear to add the perfect touch to a simulated flight. Of course… it won’t come cheap, in most cases, but every hobby industry has its own expensive rabbit holes for the well-heeled enthusiast.
The Expo will give companies time to show off their brand new offerings no matter the ecosystem they release them on, whether that’s the blue-chip of desktop simming, the fun-oriented console market, or even mobile platforms. The Expo covers everything in the flight simulation scene, making it just as handy for flight schools shopping for their next Level D as it is for a basement dogfighter shopping for the right HOTAS. Attendees will get access to all that fun, shiny new kit when they attend in person, with plenty more to do throughout the show. Hands-on exhibits, how-to seminars, workshops, and tours will keep them busy, at no additional cost to the original ticket.

So far, they’ve given hints about a couple prospective releases, like the arrival of the Super Patriot from Patriot Aircraft. That aircraft will be parked alongside its brand-new virtual analog from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 to show how close Parallel 42 got to emulating the real thing.
“We’re thrilled to welcome our first real-world aircraft manufacturer to FlightSimExpo,” says Evan Reiter, show organizer and airline pilot who also uses home flight simulators. “Since the creation of the show, we’ve been working to close the gap between simulation and real-world flying. Having both the real and MSFS versions of the Super Patriot at the event represents a milestone achievement for this effort, and we’re very thankful to both Parallel 42 and Patriot Aircraft for making it possible!”
