Robinson Chooses Safran Arriel 2W Engine For R88

Newest Powerplant Model Provides 950 SHP For Brand-New Helo

Safran Helicopter Engines and Robinson Helicopter Company announced their excusive partnership to power the brand-new R88 helicopter with the Arriel 2W producing 950 shp and is the newest version of the Arriel family.

The Arriel family has proven its reliability and durability with a total 66 million flight hours. Arriel engines power helicopters worldwide and every day in a range of demanding mission profiles including rescue operations, EMS, and population protection.

Robinson customers will benefit from Safran’s worldwide support network that ensures a streamlined, high-performance MRO service.

In addition Robinson, in a first for an airframer is also taking advantage of engine services from the first day of aircraft acquisition to ensure operators receive the utmost in support directly from Safran Helicopter Engines. It entails from aircraft delivery, the Serenity package featuring services such as unscheduled maintenance for 5 years or 2,000 flying hours, premium health monitoring, and advanced digital services.
