Beechcraft is Back at Oshkosh

Rebranding by Raytheon

  Since announcing the creation of the Beechcraft Division at NBAA 2002, Raytheon Aircraft has been raising the profile of the Beechcraft brand. The Raytheon Premier I was renamed the Beechcraft Premier I to reflect its status as the flagship of the Beechcraft product line, and the company hosted approximately 300 Bonanzas at Beech Field for its 70th anniversary last fall.

How Many Would You Like?

At Oshkosh 2003, the entire Beechcraft product line will be represented, starting with the Beechcraft Bonanza and Baron, and including the King Air family – the 350, B200 and C90B – as well as the Premier I, which is making its second appearance at Oshkosh.

The Beechcraft Bonanza on display will be the first of 10 special Centennial Edition Bonanzas. The aircraft will have a special paint scheme and interior treatments commemorating 100 years of manned flight.

The Beechcraft Division is also participating in a number of Oshkosh activities, including:

  • KidVenture, where Beechcraft is giving away 6,000 logo hip packs, with sunscreen packets, to children experiencing this safe and fun hands-on aviation experience.
  • The Bonanzas to Oshkosh formation flight, where the Centennial Edition Bonanza, flown by company demo pilot Mike Elsenrath, will anchor a 100-ship formation – the air show’s largest -- from Rockford (IL) to Oshkosh. Participants follow a standardized operating procedure where all aircraft take off on one clearance and land on one clearance – a true "formation" flight.
  • At the ensuing Bonanza party Monday night, Raytheon Aircraft Customer Support will be offering Raytheon Aircraft Parts Inventory and Distribution (RAPID) gift certificates worth $20 to all Beechcraft owners attending. Grand prizes awarded will be $1,000, $750 and $500 RAPID credits.
  • Raytheon Aircraft will donate the use of a King Air 350 to ferry race officials of the 2003 Oshkosh Cup Race from Manteo (NC) to Oshkosh, via Dayton (OH). The Cup Race replicates the excitement of the Bendix Trophy Races of the 1930, and brings together three of aviation’s most historic places: Kitty Hawk (NC), the site of the first powered flight; Dayton, home of the Wright brothers; and the current home of recreational aviation, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh.
