Fund Established For Child Who Survived KY Aviation Accident

Sailor Gutzler Fund Accepting Donations Online

A memorial fund has been established to assist 7-year-old Sailor Gutzler, the 7-year-old girl who was the sole survivor of an accident in Kentucky January 2nd which fatally injured her parents, sister, and a cousin.

The fund has been set up for her to take care of her physical, emotional and educational needs now and in the future and is sanctioned by the family.

The site is maintained by Prophecy1, LLC. They are a web development firm based in the same area that Marty Gutzler and his family owned his business and resided. The page was set up by Jim Johnson on behalf of the Gutzler family.

Sadly, but perhaps not surprisingly, the family has been made aware of several fraudulent sites claiming to raise money for Sailor. That information will soon be included on the website in a drop-down menu.

Sailor was the only survivor among the five people aboard a PA-34 that went down on a flight from Florida to Mount Vernon, IL. The pilot, Sailor's father, had reported engine problems to ATC before the aircraft went down about 10 miles from Kentucky Dam State Park Airport, where he was planning to land.
