Seminar
High Performance Aircraft Training will conduct annual recurrent
training for Lancairs and other high performance aircraft January
17th and 18th, 2004 in Sebring (FL).
The program is designed for fast,
high flying, performance pilots and their aircraft. The
topics covered offer a theoretical perspective while connecting it
with everyday, real world, safe flying. Topics
include:
- Weather; judgment, planning, rules of thumb, examples and how
it relates to our aircraft
- GPS/WAAS; the system and how it all works, approaches, Arinc
424, RAIM, FDE, RNP, WAAS approaches and where we can use them
- Aerodynamics; Laminar flow, trouble areas and lift
discussion

affects the approach, flight planning, briefing for departure,
enroute and arrival
- Situational Awareness; Accident Avoidance; examples and
analysis and how we can avoid them, Weight and Balance; worksheet
and discussion
