Alpha Aviation Group Expands Cessna Fleet To 24

Purchase Of Four New Aircraft Deemed Necessary As Demand For Training Skyrockets

Alpha Aviation Group (AAG), one of Asia’s leading pilot training providers, has purchased an additional four Cessna 172 (Nav II) aircraft as demand for commercial pilot training continues to grow.

The purchase of the four Cessna 172 aircraft takes AAG’s Cessna fleet to 24 planes, and comes in response to unprecedented demand for places on Alpha Aviation’s Group’s pilot training programs. To help meet this demand, AAG is aiming to expand its fleet of trainer aircraft to 35 over the next couple of years, including the acquisition of more C172 (Nav II) planes and potentially a brand new C172 (G1000).

Every year, AAG train hundreds of new pilots for its airline partners. AAG is currently training more than 300 pilots and most of its more than 800 graduates are now flying with leading regional airlines including VietJet, Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific and Air Asia Philippines, among others.

“Maintaining the youngest, safest, most advanced, highly-efficient core flying trainer aircraft fleet in the country is becoming more and more challenging. But we are committed not only to sustain but also expand the fleet so we can continue delivering world-class quality training,” said Christopher Magdangal, AAG Regional Director for Asia-Pacific.
