Sky Arrow 600 Gets Its Ticket

Latest SLSA To Be Certified

Pacific Aerosystem Inc. in San Diego, CA announced Monday the first LSA Sky Arrow produced for the US market by Iniziative Industriali Italiane (3I) of Italy, received FAA approval and was issued an Airworthiness Certificate as a Special Light Sport Aircraft (SLSA) earlier this month.

According to the company, the Sky Arrow 600 Sport is basically the same design as the Sky Arrow 650 TCNS, but is powered by a 100-hp Rotax 912 engine. The 600 is very similar to those produced by 3I for other countries with Micro-Light and Advanced Ultra-Light classes.

As was reported in Aero-News, the Sky Arrow 650 TCNS was certified in 2003 under FAR 23.

Iniziative Industrial Italiane, which has manufactured aircraft since 1947, says it will display the Sky Arrow Sport 600 at the Light Sport Expo in Sebring, FL --  rescheduled for January 12-15, 2006.
