On April 22, during a flight by one of VMX-22's Block A (newest
model) MV-22s, the V-22 fleet surpassed the 2,000-flight hour
milestone since the program's return to flight in May of 2002.
LifeLine Pilots was honored recently to accept the Public
Benefit Flying Team Award from the National Aeronautic Association
and The Air Care Alliance for volunteer-provided "Lifeguard" flight
services following the attacks of September 11, 2001.

Japanese Transport Ministry inspector pax not amused
All Nippon Airways (ANA) has admitted that one of their captains
dozed off twice while on a domestic flight. The airline issued an
apology on Friday after the pilot was caught napping with 184
passengers aboard. The pilot has since been suspended and is
scheduled to undergo medical tests.
Completing more than six months in space, the International
Space Station Expedition 8 crew, Commander Mike Foale and Flight
Engineer Alexander Kaleri, returned to Earth today, bringing with
them European Space Agency Astronaut Andre Kuipers of the
Netherlands.
C.W. "Wes" Moore, 84, died Thursday, March 18, 2004. Born on
Sept. 22, 1919, in Buffalo, N.Y. He had worked at Bell
Aircraft from 1938 to 1943, and obtained his private and commercial
pilot certificates in 1939.
Past success and future growth opportunities have led the board
of the Rocky Mountain EAA Regional Fly-In (RMRFI) to relocate their
popular celebration of aviation to Front Range Airport in 2004.
"The two thousand hour milestone not only demonstrates
incredible teamwork by the ITT and VMX-22, it also provides an
opportunity to reflect on what those flight hours have accomplished
toward changing perceptions toward the revolutionary capabilities
of the V-22."
