On August 22, magniX unveiled their new De Havilland DHC-7 (Dash 7) demonstrator aircraft. This marked the launch of NASA’s Electrified Powertrain Flight Demonstration (EPFD) program’s next phase. NASA and magniX have been partnering on the EPFD program since its creation in 2022. The project goal is to develop a new generation of sustainable aircraft through ground and flight tests of Electrified Aircraft Propulsion (EAP) tech.

In a recent software update, Dynon announced that they will be adding an Emergency Glide feature to their avionics. This is compatible with the SkyView HDX software, Dynon’s flagship avionics system. The SkyView HDX is Dynon’s flagship avionics system. The Martinsburg Bill Noe Flight School Expands The University’s Aviation Pathway

Registration recently opened for Marshall University’s new Bill Noe Flight School location. This Professional Pilot program is located at the Eastern West Virginia Regional Airport in Martinsburg, WV. The original Bill Noe Flight School location opened in the Fall of 2021 at West Virginia Yeager International Airport in Charleston, WV. It operates on a custom fleet of Cirrus SR20 aircraft as well as state-of-the-art flight sims.

Atlantic Aviation Oklahoma City Hosting Girls In Aviation Day

2nd Annual Event At Wiley Post Airport FBO

The Women in Aviation International (WAI) is hosting a free Girls in Aviation Day on September 21, 2024, at the Wiley Post Airport in Oklahoma City. The event is free of charge, but registration is required for admission. The Greater Oklahoma City Metro Chapter is partnering with the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics, Atlantic Aviation (PWA), Oklahoma City Department of Airports, and the Oklahoma National Guard. The WAI OKC Chapter is expecting more than 600 girls to attend.
