"You did excellent work in overcoming a tough problem
and doing your very best for our customers throughout the
day."
Source: United Airlines CEO Glenn Tilton, in a
message to employees Thursday praising them for their efforts
during a two-hour grounding of the airline's domestic operations
Wednesday morning. Another airline executive pinned the blame for
the glitch on an error by an employee during a routine test of the
airline's Unimatic dispatching system. Many United workers have
openly criticized Tilton and other executives, for accepting
lucrative bonuses in the wake of the airline's time in Chapter 11
bankruptcy.
