Airborne 02.14.25: MASSIVE Year 4 Piper, Martin Mars Fini, EA-18G Down

Piper Aircraft reported impressive company growth in 2024, hitting its highest delivery volume since 2001, with a total of 291 aircraft sold. The report demonstrates a 20 percent, or 46 aircraft, year-over-year increase from 2023. The manufacturer’s high point was in international deliveries, with 74 aircraft marking a 76% annual increase. The final Martin JRM Mars flying boat, dubbed Philippine Mars, took its last flight on February 10. Go Around Instructions for a pilot to abandon his/her approach to landing. Additional instructions may follow. Unless otherwise advised by ATC, a VFR aircraft or an aircraft conducting visual approach should overfly the runway while climbing to traffic pattern altitude and enter the traffic pattern via the crosswind leg. A pilot on an IFR flight plan making an instrument approach should execute the published missed approach procedure or proceed as instructed by ATC; e.g., “Go around” (additional instructions if required).
