The Boom XB-1 successfully completed its fourth flight on September 21, 2024, at the Mojave Air & Space Port in California. It lasted 48 minutes and reached a top speed of Mach 0.617, along with a maximum altitude of 16,150 feet. This achievement came just eight days after the aircraft’s third flight. The Chennault International Airshow Board of Directors announced on September 18 that they have decided to cancel the next event, scheduled for October 24-26, 2025. Suspected Brake Failure of NetJets Citation Excel

On September 19, a small business jet rolled into the window of a line service building at New Jersey’s Teterboro Airport. The incident occurred just after 10:00 pm and was suspected to be caused by a brake failure. The tail number pictured is N762QS, which is listed in FAA records as a NetJets-owned Cessna Citation Excel.
