Omni Air Int’l Teamsters Pilots Vote To Strike

Overwhelming 99 Percent Authorize Labor Action

Teamsters pilots flying for Omni Air International voted overwhelmingly to authorize the union’s leadership to call a strike when Omni or its parent company ATSG implement unilateral changes to working conditions without following the legally required process. The vote comes a year after pilots voted unanimously to call a strike upon their release from negotiations by the National Mediation Board.

Merlin And Quikjet To Collaborate On Unprecedented Research

In a first-of-its-kind research project, Merlin and Quikjet announced they will perform a collaborative study of Quikjet’s commercial cargo pilots to assess the correlation of pilot fatigue with in-flight performance. The study will examine how wellness factors affect performance to inform new standards for safety and efficiency in the aviation industry.
