With only the sketchiest of details currently available, ANN has
learned that a Cirrus SR22 and apparently used the CAPS, (Cirrus
Airframe Parachute System) to affect a recovery. Reportedly
occupied by a single pilot, N3452L went down in an inlet near the
Bowline Point Park, near Haverstraw, NY, this (Thursday)
afternoon.

out by AOPA to CFIs everywhere... and it behooves us ALL to read

It looks like general aviation has scored an important victory
at Friedman Memorial Airport (SUN) in Hailey, ID. Hailey is home to
the famous Sun Valley resort, which hosts one of the biggest and
most exclusive corporate retreats. Investment banker Allen &
Company attracts major business interests and a bevy of corporate
aircraft to its annual bash in July. Such folks don't appreciate
much delay or inconvenience.
North Carolina Pilots Take Action To Save North Carolina
Airport
AOPA says it's is using every resource necessary to save Horace
Williams Airport at the University of North Carolina in Chapel
Hill. More than 10,000 North Carolina members are stepping up in
full force to tell legislators to save the airport, according to
the advocacy group.
Kathy Hirtz, an M.D., turned aerobatic pilot, has chosen Clarity
