In today's fuel-conscious market, it can't be denied the
turboprop regional airliner is making a comeback. This week, ATR
and Vietnam Airlines announced a contract for the purchase of five
new ATR 72-500s.
Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways recently signed a
contract for eight A330-300 aircraft. The new aircraft, powered by
Rolls Royce Trent 700 engines, are scheduled for delivery before
the end of 2012.
