Fined For 'Reporting Innacurat Data' Following A Long
Delay
United Airlines has reportedly been fined $12,000 in association
with a long, weather-related ground delay in May, but the fine is
not for having a plane on the ground beyond the DOT-imposed
three-hour limit.
Boeing said Friday that the steel framework for its new 787
Dreamliner Final Assembly building in South Carolina has been
completed, and recognized the milestone with a special topping-out
ceremony. The event was held in conjunction with BE&K/Turner,
the design-builder of the facility.
The commercial aircraft maintenance facility in near Kansas
City, MO, in Platte county was once the largest such operation in
the world, employing some 6,000 people when it was owned by
TWA.
