Mentair Group Assists MidWest Aviation With FAA Repair Station Certification

Company Is Set To Open A New Shop At Sioux Falls Regional Airport (KFSD) South Dakota

MidWest Aviation is about to open a new FAA Repair Station at Sioux Falls Regional Airport (KFSD) South Dakota with the assistance of Mentair Group.

"MidWest Aviation is very pleased with the assistance provided by Mentair’s Sharon Grey to work towards obtaining an FAA Repair Station Certificate." said Sam Drown the Repair Station’s Manager. "Ms. Grey’s expert help made for a smooth and efficient application and certification process with the FAA. The manuals met all applicable FAA SAS requirements.”

"The manuals and forms we received were completely customized and every detail was accurately captured to reflect the unique technical aspects of our business. Ms Grey was a great help to ensure all the correct information and documents were provided to the FAA Inspector’s for their review," said Bill James, Chief Inspector. "The process went very smoothly and I’m glad we selected Mentair to assist us in this process. We are looking forward to opening the doors to accommodate our customer's avionics needs."

Drown said they decided to open the business to meet the growing need for avionics services in the South Dakota area and surrounding states. MidWest Aviation’s services will include pitot static and altimeter checks (FAR 91.411), Transponder checks (FAR 91.413) as well as RVSM equipment checks. He said, “Our hangar facility can accommodate the customer’s aircraft to complete the work. We’re looking forward to future growth for the company and expanding our repair station’s capabilities.”

“We are proud to have worked with the MidWest Aviation group to obtain their FAA Repair Station Certificate. These certifications are a partnership between Mentair and the client to ensure they receive a totally customized and useable set of repair station manuals," said Mentair’s Executive Partner Sharon Grey. "It’s important to provide the client with a set of documents that receive a positive review by the FAA and facilitate a productive and smooth start up for the repair station. We wish the MidWest Aviation team much success with their business.”

Mentair is an international consulting company that offers a portfolio of aviation consulting services for all types of fixed wing aircraft, helicopter operations, repair stations and ground operations.
