StandardAero’s Components Business Receives Foreign Trade Zone Designation

Will Allow Parts To Be Stored And Processed Duty-Free

StandardAero's Components business in Cincinnati, OH has been designated and received its activation and approval as a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ). Foreign Trade Zones are designated sites approved by the Foreign Trade Zone Board where imported goods can be stored or processed with duty-free treatment on items that are re-exported or where duty payment can be deferred.

“StandardAero Components is working to ensure its customers are provided with a world class customer experience,” said Rick Stine, Senior Vice President, Components, StandardAero. “Receiving FTZ designation is a great step towards achieving this goal as it will expedite cycle times and reduce costs associated with import duties and customs fees.”

StandardAero’s continuous improvement efforts extend outside of our internal repair operations as we seek to improve the overall customer experience.  Benefits include a streamlined customs clearance process for international repair orders that will improve transit time to the facility as well as decrease import duties, fees and brokerage fees.

Located in Cincinnati, Ohio, StandardAero Components is a state-of-the-art gas turbine parts, LRU and airframe repair and engineering facility offering full tool design and fabrication capabilities, components part restoration and a comprehensive suite of welding techniques and NDT capabilities.
