Avion Group Appoints Bart Slager As Chief Executive Officer

Will Focus On Integration Of Group Companies In The Netherlands And Turkey

Avion Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Bart Slager in the position of Chief Executive Officer as of October 18, 2016. In this new position Mr. Slager will focus on the integration of the Avion Group companies in The Netherlands and Turkey, and will ensure the viability, growth, sustainability, and profitability of the group.

Mr. Slager (pictured, left) brings with him a broad-based experience in sales, finance, and operations as well as corporate management and is an enthusiastic member of the aviation community.

“We are very pleased to have Bart join our organization. We expect significant growth in our business, and we are confident that he is the perfect person to lead us forward with organization and focus," says Avion Chairman Marty van Veluw.

Prior to joining Avion Group, Mr. Slager spent 13 years at PrivatAir Group in several positions, with the last 7 years subsequently as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, and board member. In addition, he has been, for over 5 years, the Managing Director and Accountable Manager of PrivatAir GmbH in Germany.

Previously, Mr. Slager was Vice President of Aviation Finance at NIB Capital. Prior to that he worked for Andersen Consulting, Fokker Aircraft, and Gulfstream Aerospace. Mr Slager holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
