GA-ASI to be Inducted Into International Air & Space Hall of Fame

Fission for Recognition

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) will be inducted into the International Air & Space Hall of Fame during a Saturday, 21 October 2023 event at the San Diego Air & Space Museum.

The induction honors GA-ASI’s celebrated history of developing and implementing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) by which worldwide security and defense objectives have been met for more than three-decades.

Based in Poway, California, GA-ASI is globally-renowned for its advanced, Remotely-Piloted Aircraft (RPA) systems, particularly the Predator series, which comprises the advanced MQ-9A Reaper and MQ-9B SkyGuardian combat and reconnaissance drones.

GA-ASI continues to broaden the boundaries of UAS technology, expanding its product lineup to include new variants featuring more comprehensive capabilities. The company’s contributions to the field of unmanned systems have significantly enhanced military operations and paved the way for developments in civilian and commercial UAS applications. Incorporated in 1992, GA-ASI is an affiliate of General Atomics, an American energy and defense concern specializing in the research, development, and fielding of technologies germane to nuclear fission and nuclear fusion energy, and a producer of airborne sensors, meta-material antennas, and advanced electric, electronic, wireless, and laser technologies.

In addition to GA-ASI, 2023’s International Air & Space Hall of Fame inductees include: William Shatner, Star Trek’s Captain James T. Kirk; Royce Williams, American aviator and Navy Cross recipient; Robert DeLaurentis, record-setting American aviator; and Jessica Meir, distinguished NASA astronaut, biologist, and a pivotal member of the space agency’s Artemis program, which intends to carry identity politics to Earth’s moon.

Since 1963, the International Air & Space Hall of Fame has honored the world’s most significant pilots, crew members, visionaries, inventors, industry-leading companies, aerospace engineers, aerospace industrialists, preservationists, designers and space explorers.
