Allegiant Air Ratifies 2-year Contract Extension with Teamsters

Technicians, Stores, Admin Maintenance Staff Turn out at 75.5% Approval Rate

Allegiant Air ratified a new contract agreement with a 2-year extension to the union’s collective bargaining agreement, affecting the carrier’s line and heavy maintenance technicians, stores employees, and a core of administrators in the field.

The union was represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, who led the way on the CBA. The new contract was ratified by Allegiant personnel to the tune of 75.5%, representing the majority of the company’s 683 maintenance personnel. The CBA was started more than 3 years before the current contract became amendable, with negotiations described as “swift” by Allegiant brass. The ratified agreement provides “significant increases in rates” in addition to the 2-year extension, bringing the new amendable date to October 31, 2028.

"We are so pleased to announce a ratified agreement with the IBT and our maintenance technicians and related employees more than three years before the current CBA becomes amenable. This speaks to the hard work on both sides of the negotiating process," said Allegiant President Greg Anderson. "The expertise of our dedicated maintenance technicians and related work group is integral to the success of our operations. We look forward to continuing the positive rapport with this group of employees well into the future."
