Aero-News Will Be At AEA 2009!

Vendors, Get YOUR News In Now!

The Aircraft Electronics Association tells ANN this year's AEA Convention is sure to be a can't-miss event in the aviation industry... and Aero-News will be on site in Dallas, TX next week, throughout the 2009 Conference and Trade Show, to bring our readers the latest news and developments in the aircraft electronics industry.

It certainly appears news will be made, too. Despite the current economic downturn, avionics vendors are reaping the benefits from owners who are opting to upgrade the panel on their older aircraft, rather than shelling out the bucks for a brand-new plane. Manufacturers like Aspen Avionics, Chelton, Garmin, and Rockwell Collins are all-too-happy to oblige... as are FBOs like Duncan Aviation and Jet Works Air Center. Of course, OEM avionics suppliers may have a new gadget or two to share, as well...

In addition to news and events from the convention floor, a full roster of FastTrak training workshops and regulatory sessions are scheduled throughout the three-day event, as well.

This year's keynote address -- on opening day, Thursday April 2 -- will be delivered by Cessna Chairman, President and CEO Jack Pelton, who has become active in helping formulate national policy on general aviation, and is frequently called on to testify before Congress and other government agencies on industry issues.

The annual AEA Awards Luncheon on Friday, April 3 will honor this year's AEA Member of the Year & Associate Member of the Year, and will feature former UCLA and NFL coach Dick Vermeil -- who guided the 1999 St. Louis Rams to victory in Super Bowl XXXIV. Vermeil also holds the extremely rare distinction of being named "Coach of the Year" on four levels: High School, Junior College, NCAA Division I and the NFL.

AEA 2009 runs from April 2-4 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, located just north of D/FW International Airport in the centrally-located Dallas and Fort Worth suburb of Grapevine, TX.

Of course, ANN would like to remind anyone with news to share at AEA 2009 to get their announcements in to Aero-News as soon as possible... so your message can reach a worldwide audience!
