Man Removed From Plane After Catcalling Flight Attendant

Incident Occurred During Pre-Departure Safety Demonstration

A passenger was removed from an Alaska Airlines flight October 9 after making a remark to a flight attendant during the safety demonstration.

The Washington Post reports that the flight was getting set to depart Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for Burbank, CA, when a man in a middle seat between two women said "ohh, sexy" to the flight attendant as she was demonstrating the use of the life vest. According to a Facebook post from another passenger, Amber Nelson, the FA told the man he needed to be "respectful." He reportedly replied "C'mon, I'm just playing with you."

The safety demonstration was suspended. A few minutes later, another airline employee, a man, boarded the plane and asked the man to gather his belongings and was escorted off the plane despite his protestations that he had done nothing wrong.

Nelson wrote that it was all she and others could do to keep from applauding as the man was led off the plane.

The passenger's account was confirmed Wednesday by Alaska Airlines. It is unclear if any charges were filed, or if he made his trip to Burbank on a later Alaska Airlines flight.
